A modular and scalable configuration that enables organizations to adopt Google Cloud Kubernetes Engine for their business needs. Kubernetes Engine is a managed, production-ready environment for deploying containerized applications.

Kubernetes was accepted to CNCF on March 10, 2016 at the Incubating maturity level and then moved to the Graduated maturity level on March 6, 2018.

Kubernetes was moved to the adopt ring in the Thoughtworks Technology Radar in May 2018.
